A colleague who cared more than simply lending me money did something:

Teach me how to fish. And in a way that is not forcibly done. He bought the book "The Richest Man In Babylon" by George S Clason, and since yesterday, I've read a chapter during my lunch break.

True enough, the book has a lot of humor in it while discussing the very basics of financial discipline.

I have high hopes that 2010 will be a year for me to plant the seed - as it was emphasized that it is no used letting years pass then planting many seeds all at the same time. It is the forming of the habit that is the start of it all - and it starts NOW.
